The Cheese School of San Francisco is the only institution of its kind in the nation, completely dedicated to the education and appreciation of all things cheese.
Located in the vibrant Dogpatch neighborhood within Daily Driver, it features San Francisco’s only cheesemaking creamery.
The Cheese School is one of San Francisco's premiere event venues where our Eating is Learning philosophy is guaranteed to treat your senses.
French Gastronome Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin said it best, “Tell me what you eat and I will tell you who you are.”
Inspired by ancient traditions of cheesemaking, our take on catering is infused with hospitality and modern techniques while utilizing our access to the finest local goods and in-season organic produce available. From private classes, parties and weddings, to team building and corporate events – our talented hospitality mongers and chefs will help you plan and deliver a memorable cheese-inspired culinary event.
A private class (virtual for now) is a fun and delicious way for groups up to 100 guests to learn about cheese and other foods, bond with friends and family, or celebrate a special occasion. We’ll host you for one of our signature tasting classes, or get your people cooking with a hands-on class. Our catering team would be delighted to round out your event with a warmly hosted meal and drinks.
We’ve seen it time and again – nothing brings colleagues together like realizing they do actually like goat cheese, they can make their own mozzarella, or they’ve competed and crowned a champion pizzaiolo (pizza-maker). Our team building classes are an easy-peasy-mac-and-cheesy way to treat your team of up to 100 people for an afternoon of great food and charming company in our private venue.

Let us host your rehearsal dinner, intimate wedding reception, morning after brunch, or provide you with the best wedding cake created from wheels of cheese that you could imagine. We guarantee that a cheese bar fully stocked with top-shelf artisan cheeses, charcuterie, antipasti, and passed appetizers at your next soiree will wow even the most jaded, and give your friends something to talk about for parties to come. As a party bonus, we will tutor your tasters on the real difference between Gruyere and Comte or goat and sheep milk cheeses, etc!
Sure, we're cheese lovers, but our love of food doesn't stop there. That is why we offer private dining and professional event catering services. We love delivering exceptional client dinners, reception-style parties, weekend lunches, or elegant seated meals in your home or at our beautiful venue and event space in the heart of San Francisco.
