Alphabet Greeting Cards - C is for Comte

  • The Cheese School worked with a local artist to create a full alphabet of cheese greeting cards. A perfect cheese gift for anyone you know, like your Cousin Cathy. The front of the card is beautifully illustrated, the interior is blank waiting for just the right message, and the back has the glorious cheesy details.

Comte is made from the milk produced at 2,700 family dairies in the mountainous region of the Jura Massif. Each wheel requires the milk of 20 cows and weighs 80 pounds. Good thing, because the French eat approximately 50,000 metric tonnes of it per year.

    LOCATION: Franche-Comte, France
    MILK: Cow's milk
    PRONUNCIATION: con-tay
