Join us for a Field Trip as we head up the coast for a Cheese Class in the historic Hay Barn at Straus Home Ranch, which sits majestically above Tomales Bay, in Marshall, CA.
Our day will start with Vivien and Michael Straus... we'll hear the inspiring story of the Straus family and the incredibly meaningful work they do in sustainable agriculture, land preservation and environmental conservation. Afterwards, we'll stroll into the pasture to visit with the cows and take in the stunning views.
We'll continue our conversation with Vivien and Michael to learn what everyday life is like on their organic working ranch and how their family continues to provide critical support to the dairy farmers throughout the area.
Then it's back to the Hay Barn for a Cheese Class! We will lead you through a tasting of some of our favorite local artisan cheeses as we share stories about the rich history of dairy farming in this beautiful region. Delicious wine pairings, beverages and a light lunch will also be a part of this very special experience.

* Currently, our farm tours are caravan-style (drive your own car).
* Public Tours are limited to 24 people.
* Dress in layers and wear farm-friendly clothing and footwear.

* If the minimum of 8 guests is not met, the Field Trip will be cancelled at least 72 hours in advance. Refunds will be issued if rescheduling is not possible.
